Melon's exploit

I was recently looking for some food i could farm at my base that would give me the most profit per square. I came across melons and I saw that you could sell 1 melon slice for 4 dollar, i looked how much a complete melon costs (15dollar) so I started thinking,... 1 melon block costs 15dollar and you get an average of 5 melon slices which you can sell at 4 dollar a piece (20dollar in total). I did some research and I quickly realised that with the help of a piston (which is rapidly triggered by redstone) it could be very easy to place blocks of melons and get the melon slices to sell in the shop so you would get a profit of 1/4 of the amount of melon blocks you bought.

As a fair player on this community I wanted to ask if this is a legit method of making money or not?

RE: Melon's exploit

This was prob patched by blood since melons sell $2 each. Also, any shop exploit is not allowed except for things like turning gravel into flint using tedious methods. Made what considered to be a lot of money in the old days by finding errors in blood's math.

The forum is not usable at the moment. Sorry.
